In a major crackdown on illegal betting operations, Madhya Pradesh police raided a residence in Ujjain, seizing a significant amount of cash, foreign currencies, and other assets.

In an extensive raid, Madhya Pradesh police discovered a massive stash of illicit assets at a residence in Ujjain. The operation, targeting illegal betting activities, yielded ₹14.6 crore in cash, 7 kilograms of silver, and foreign currencies from seven different nations. This raid highlights the extensive and organized nature of the illegal operations in the region.

Arrests and Seizures
Initial Raid: The first raid at a Ujjain residence led to the seizure of substantial cash and assets, indicating the scale of the illegal betting activities.

Second Raid: A follow-up raid at another hideout, linked to the same network, resulted in the arrest of nine individuals suspected of being involved in the betting racket.

Confiscated Devices: Authorities seized more than ten mobile phones and seven laptops, suggesting a sophisticated operation involving multiple digital platforms.

Inspector General Santosh Kumar Singh, overseeing the operations, confirmed the seizures and arrests. He emphasized the ongoing efforts to capture the main suspect, Piyush Chopra, who remains at large. “Yesterday, during…,” he stated, underscoring the determination to dismantle the illegal betting network.
