In a significant development, the Madhya Pradesh police conducted a raid on the residence of former Congress Chief Minister Kamal Nath. This action came in response to a complaint filed by BJP candidate Vivek Bunty Sahu, alleging bribery involving Nath’s private secretary, R.K. Miglani.
Sahu accused Miglani of offering journalists a bribe of ₹20 lakh to circulate a fabricated and objectionable video targeting him. Currently, the police are actively interrogating Miglani, refraining from making official statements on the matter.
Following the complaint, an FIR has been lodged against Miglani for his alleged involvement in disseminating the controversial video.
The police’s search operation extended to Miglani’s residence and also reached the doorstep of Kamal Nath’s abode in Shikarpur, Chhindwara. This development is particularly significant as Nath’s son, Nakul Nath, is contesting as the Congress candidate in the area.
