MP woman gets in trouble for shooting dance to song ‘Munni Badnam Hui’ at temple premises

Bhopal: Home Minister of Madhya Pradesh Narottam Mishra announced on Tuesday that a First Information Report (FIR) would be filed against a woman for shooting a dance at the premises of a temple in Madhya Pradesh’s Chhatarpur district and then posting it on social media.

Bajrang Dal members turned furious and objected regarding the video filmed in the temple, Neha, the young woman who had posted the video on Instagram on October 1, eventually deleted it and apologised.

The short video, which was to the tune of the popular Bollywood song “Munni Badnam Hui,” was shot on the steps of the temple.

The woman has over 4 lakh Instagram followers.

“Neha’s attire and the way the video was shot were objectionable. I had previously objected to such instances and threatened to file FIRs if the incident occurred again. Mishra told reporters here that she did this despite being warned.

“I have directed the Superintendent of Police of Chhatarpur to file an FIR against her,” said the minister, who is also the state government’s spokesperson.
