Varanasi: Mafia Mukhtar Ansari has been convicted in the 32-year-old Awadhesh Rai murder case. The punishment of the mafia will be announced after 2 pm in the MP-MLA court of Varanasi. Hearing of the case in Varanasi and Prayagraj On August 3, 1991, Awadhesh Rai, elder brother of former MLA Ajay Rai, was shot dead in broad daylight outside his house in Lahurabir area. Ajay Rai had filed a case against Mukhtar Ansari, former MLA Abdul Kalam, Bhim Singh, Kamlesh Singh and Rakesh Judiciary regarding this murder. In this case, the mafia was presented in the court through video conferencing. The mafia is currently lodged in Banda Jail.
