Mumbai: A 20-year-old woman from Kerala, who was under training in the Indian Navy for Agniveer, allegedly died by suicide by hanging herself, an official said on Tuesday. Prima facie, it appears that she took the extreme step due to personal reasons, the police said.
As per the official, the woman was under training at INS Hamla in Mumbai’s Malad area at the time of the incident. Malvani Police registered an ADR and is carrying out further operations, Mumbai Police said. Malvani police on Tuesday registered an Alternative dispute resolution (ADR) in Agniveer trainee’s suicide case and further investigation is underway.
Sources said that the girl was in a love relationship which was facing troubles, adding that which is why she could have possibly taken the extreme step. She died by suicide by hanging herself with the help of a bedsheet, sources said. After getting information about this incident, Navy doctors were called who investigated the girl and pronounced her dead.
A few days back, a police constable died by suicide due to a love affair in Mumbai. It is being told that the constable had a fight with his girlfriend. The age of the police constable is only 27 years. Not only did he commit suicide, but before committing suicide he also clicked a photo of himself hanging himself with a noose around his neck and sent this photo to his girlfriend’s friend, so that her girlfriend would know that he had died by suicide. Salunkhe was posted in the Local Arms Department of Mumbai Police.
