Fire brigade officials rescued around 50-60 people from different floors, out of which 39 people were admitted to the nearby hospital due to suffocation.

After treatment, all four people were discharged from the hospital.
Reportedly, the fire broke out in the electric ducts on the ground floor and spread to electrical wires and equipment, reaching up to the 12th floor. After the incident came to light, fire brigade personnel reached the spot as soon as information about the fire was received.
According to BMC, firefighters have brought the fire under control. The cause of the fire is not yet known. Visuals of the fire have surfaced on the internet. In the video that surfaced online, one can see thick black smoke covering the night sky and someone from a nearby area recorded the incident.
The fire broke out late night on Friday in the SRA building opposite Kohinoor Hospital in Kurla West and was classified as Level 1. The fire was limited to electrical wires, electrical installation, scrap material etc. Electrical duct from ground floor to 12th floor and upper 12th floor, According to the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC).
