New Delhi: Mumbai Police Crime Branch has arrested a accused of murder from Telangana. The murder accused was absconding for the last 12 years after jumping parole. He was 39-year-old. A police officer gave this information on Wednesday. He was arrested by the Mumbai Police in a murder case in 2007, the official said.

The official said that He was arrested by the Mumbai Police in a murder case in 2007. He was convicted by a sessions court in 2008 and sentenced to life imprisonment and was sent to Nashik Central Jail to serve the jail term.
Officials further said that the accused Ashok Hanumant Kajeri alias V Siva had changed his name and identity and was living in Mahbubnagar city of Telangana. The official said that he was released on parole for 30 days in 2011, but he did not return to jail to complete his sentence and was absconding since then.
Mumbai Police also searched for him in Nashik, Jalna, Hingoli, Parbhani and Kerala, but did not find him. After several years, crime branch officials got specific information about Kajeri presence in Telangana, from where he was finally nabbed, the official said. He said, Kajeri was brought to Mumbai and arrested.
