Mumbai: On Wednesday morning, A massive fire broke out in a building in Byculla area of Mumbai. According to the information, the blaze started around 7.20 am in a shop on Shakeel Street in Byculla west.

Receiving information about this incident, At least 12 fire tenders rushed to the spot and rescued five people from the building. A video of the blaze shows clouds of smoke emanating from the building. The officials said that operations to douse the flame are underway.

Giving information about this incident, an official said that a massive fire broke in a building in in a shop on Shakeel Street in Byculla west area of Mumbai at around 7.20 am. He also said that Footwear, leather stock, garments, household articles and electrical installations in various “galas” (sub-sections) in the shop were gutted.

A fire department official said that after being alerted about the fire, authorities sent at least 12 fire engines to the spot. He added that though no injuries were reported, fire brigade officials rescued five persons stranded on an adjacent two-storey structure.
