Mumbai: Man shares ridiculous mistake with Zomato cake, company reacts

Mumbai: In a hilarious turn of events, a man’s birthday surprise took an unexpected turn when a misinterpretation by the bakery staff led to a ridiculous mistake. The man was identified as Gaurav. It all started when a man named Gaurav ordered a birthday cake for someone named Isha from a Mumbai-based bakery through Zomato.

Taking to X, user @GauravP1005 shared that it all started when he ordered a birthday cake for someone called Isha from a bakery located in Mumbai via Zomato. Gaurav shared the screenshot of the instructions he had provided in the Zomato app, clearly specifying the text he wanted on the cake. However, what he received in return will make you laugh.

He instructed the staff of Kosten Patisseries to, “Send a candle. Write ‘Happy Birthday Isha’. Or put a happy birthday sticker and write ‘Isha’ if possib”. However, the bakery staff misinterpreted the message and wrote “Isha Possib.” on the cake. However, the bakery staff interpreted the message in a manner that will make you request the same thing that Gaurav did in his post on X.

“Hi Zomato, please increase the word limit,” reads the caption of Gaurav’s post.

As the post garnered over 44 thousand views, social media users were quick to share their hilarious comments in the comments section. Social media users said that confused by Gaurav’s instructions, the bakery staff forgot the quotes and the word “if” on the cake and wrote “Isha Sambhav”. One user commented, “Because they thought ‘If’ was Isha Possible’s short middle name.” Another person said, “They missed the if and the quotes.”

Some users also shared similar experiences. One comment said, “I had a similar experience. We had written ‘Happy Birthday Arun’ on a slip of paper. Please write the font in italic. We found ‘Happy Birthday Arun’ written on a cake. Please write the font in italic.” One comment read. It also caught the attention of Zomato, which replied saying, “We’ll talk to the tech team if this is possib”.
