Mother-daughter died in a painful accident in Jogeshwari East area of Mumbai. Both of them were going in an auto rickshaw when a pipe of an under construction building fell on them.
Mumbai: A very painful accident took place in Jogeshwari East area on Saturday. Here the mother-daughter going in autorickshaw died due to falling of an iron pipe. Actually the autorickshaw was in the area where construction work was going on. Here the iron pipe installed to support the slab suddenly fell on the auto. Mother and daughter were sitting on the back seat. Both of them lost their lives. The driver has minor injuries.
According to the police, the incident took place around 4 pm. Both have been identified as Shana Bano Asif Shaikh (28 years) and Ayat. Both of them were going back from school. A pipe coming from the fourth or fifth floor near the surgical hospital on the Western Express Highway fell on the auto. This building was being built for slum rehabilitation.
People present near the accident rushed the woman and her daughter to Jogeshwari Trauma Care Hospital where doctors declared them brought dead. Both had severe head injuries and had internal bleeding. He was referred to Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital but was declared dead there.

A senior police officer said that a case of negligence would be registered. It is not yet known from which floor the pipe had fallen and who is responsible for it. Police said the woman lived at Pratap Nagar in Jogeshwari East and her husband was a tailor.
