Mumbai : Salman Khan’s security arrangements are currently under scrutiny by the Mumbai Police after a recent social media post threatened the actor. The post, attributed to gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, issued warnings to both Khan and Punjabi singer-actor Gippy Grewal, emphasizing Grewal’s association with Khan and advising Khan against relying on external protection. In response, Mumbai Police have alerted Khan and initiated an investigation into the source of the threat. Notably, Salman Khan had already been provided Y-plus security due to earlier threats from Lawrence Bishnoi. The police are actively working to verify the authenticity of the social media account and trace the associated IP address.
Lawrence Bishnoi’s Threats on Facebook:
Lawrence Bishnoi took responsibility for an attack outside Gippy Grewal’s Canadian residence and posted a detailed message on Facebook. He warned Grewal that his association with Salman Khan would not ensure protection, urging Khan to step up and defend him. The message also cautioned Khan against relying on anyone, mentioning Dawood Ibrahim. Mumbai Police are actively investigating this threat and working to authenticate the social media post.
Gippy Grewal Denies Bond with Salman Khan:
In response to the threats, Gippy Grewal denied any close association with Salman Khan. Lawrence Bishnoi claimed responsibility for the gunshots fired at Grewal’s Canadian apartment, prompting increased security measures for the actor. Salman Khan’s security cover has been strengthened to Y-Plus as of November 2022, and he has been authorized to carry a personal firearm. Additionally, Khan has acquired a new bulletproof vehicle to enhance his safety.”
