Mumbai police release picture of 2 suspects in Salman Khan house firing case

Mumbai: On Sunday evening, an official said that the Mumbai Police has released the pictures of the two suspects who opened fire outside the residence of actor Salman Khan. The police have also recovered a two-wheeler about a kilometer away from the actor's house, which is suspected to have been used by the two.

Mumbai: On Sunday evening, an official said that the Mumbai Police has released the pictures of the two suspects who opened fire outside the residence of actor Salman Khan. The police have also recovered a two-wheeler about a kilometer away from the actor’s house, which is suspected to have been used by the two.

The pictures of the suspects heading to the Bandra Railway Station have been released. Both the men are wearing caps and have a backpack on them, showed a surveillance clip. While one of them is wearing a white t-shirt, black jacket and denims, the other person is in a red t-shirt and denims.

A Bandra police official said that a first information report (FIR) has been registered against “unidentified person” under section 307 (attempt to murder) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and the Arms Act. The police registered the case based on the statement of Salman Khan’s security guard.

Earlier on Sunday morning, an official said that two motorbike-borne unidentified persons opened fire outside Bollywood superstar Salman Khan’s house leading the police to enhance security around his residence and launch a search for the accused.

The police official said that the two persons fired four rounds outside the Galaxy Apartments in Mumbai’s Bandra area, where the actor resides, at around 5 am and fled from the spot. Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde spoke with the actor and assured support, saying the state government would not allow anybody to take the law into their hands.
