On Sunday night, live concert of AR Rahman held at Adityaram Palace in Chennai's Paniyur, receives severe criticism from fans due to poor management, leading to fights and chaos.. Fans complained of overcrowding, chaos, poor sound and a stampede-like situation and slammed the organisers for their horrible mismanagement.
Chennai: On Sunday night, live concert of AR Rahman held at Adityaram Palace in Chennai’s Paniyur, receives severe criticism from fans due to poor management, leading to fights and chaos. Oscar Award winning composer AR Rahman is a big name of music industry. He held a concert titled ‘Marakuma Nenjam’ in Chennai. But, fans who attended the music maestro’s concert took to social media platform X (known as twitter) and shared videos and their ‘bizarre’ experiences online.
However, when the event took place, fans had to face a lot of problems. Fans claimed that there was a stampede-like situation, resulting in women being harassed and children being separated and injured. Thousands of fans alleged that organisers oversold tickets, and expressed their disappointment on X demanding answers from ACTC Events.
The participants of the event vented their anger towards the poor organization and management of the event by sharing several videos and pictures on social media. The audience present at the program said that they had to face a horrific situation there.
One woman claimed that she had paid 5000 for a ticket and there is no management, seats are seemed to be free to all. Another woman said, “It’s overcrowded, a stampede-like situation. No regulation at all”.

However, music maestro AR Rahman has made a tweet, in which it has been said that the ticket money will be refunded to the people who were not entered to the program. ‘For those of you who have purchased tickets and have not been able to enter due to unfortunate circumstances, please share a copy of your ticket with your complaints at arr4chennai@btos.in.
