President Droupadi Murmu, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Congress chief Mallikarjun Kharge, former Congress chief Sonia Gandhi, and other leaders and dignitaries paid tribute to B R Ambedkar, the father of the Indian constitution, on his death anniversary.

A floral tribute was paid to him by President Murmu and Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar at the Parliament complex today.
Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar was a Buddhist, so his death anniversary is known as Mahaparinirvan Diwas. As per Buddhist mythology, Lord Buddha’s death is considered Mahaparinirvan, the Sanskrit term for ‘nirvana after death.’
PM Modi took to Twitter, stating, “On Mahaparinirvan Diwas, I pay homage to Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar and recall his exemplary service to our nation.” “His struggles gave hope to millions, and his efforts to give India such an extensive Constitution can never be forgotten.”

Congress MP Rahul Gandhi also paid homage on Twitter by posting Ambedkar’s picture with the caption, “My homage to Babasaheb Ambedkar. His life & his message inspire us every day to strive for justice for all. Jai Bhim.”
Numerous ministers and leaders paid tribute to the great son of India, BR Ambedkar, a man with multiple talents. He was known for his distinguished work as a social reformer. BR Ambedkar was replete with several talents, such as those of a philosopher, anthropologist, historian, orator, writer, economist, scholar, and editor.
