National Unity Day: PM Modi, Prez Murmu and Amit Shah pay tribute to birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel

New Delhi: Today, India is being celebrating 147th birth anniversary of Freedom Fighter and Lohpurush Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, President Draupadi Murmu, Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar and Union Home Minister Amit Shah have paid tribute to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel today.

New Delhi: Today, India is being celebrating 147th birth anniversary of Freedom Fighter and Lohpurush Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, President Draupadi Murmu, Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar and Union Home Minister Amit Shah have paid tribute to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel today.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid tributes to freedom fighter and first Deputy Prime Minister of India, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel at the Statue of Unity at Kavidaya in Gujarat today. On October 31, on the occasion of Rashtriya Ekta Diwas, celebrated in honor of Patel, PM Modi reached Kevadia and paid floral tributes at the Statue of Unity.

The Prime Minister has decided to cancel the roadshow and committee meeting to be held today in view of the Morbi tragedy. Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid tributes to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel on his birth anniversary at the Statue of Unity in Kevadiya. So there Prime Minister Narendra Modi also participated in the National Unity Day in Kevadiya.

President Draupadi Murmu paid tributes to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel on his birth anniversary at Patel Chowk and said, ‘My humble tributes to Iron Man Sardar Patel on his birth anniversary! He was the architect of modern India and also the builder of our administrative system. He is counted among the main guides of the development journey of modern India. Our country will always be indebted to him.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah paid tribute to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel on his birth anniversary at Patel Chowk and said, “Nothing was impossible before the iron intentions of Sardar Patel.” With his firm leadership, he united the India divided into different princely states in the thread of unity. On the birth anniversary of Sardar Patel, who lived his entire life for the country with the determination of national interest, salute at his feet and congratulate everyone on National Unity Day.

Defense Minister Rajnath Singh paid tributes to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel on his birth anniversary at Patel Chowk and said, ‘I bow to the memory of India’s stalwart freedom fighter and first Home Minister, Sardar Patel on his birth anniversary. He was an Indian craftsman. He not only united India in one thread but also prepared a steel structure to strengthen it. The nation will always remember his contribution.
