Mumbai: Sharad Pawar, chief of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), was admitted to the Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai on Monday after his health deteriorated. The NCP predicts that Pawar will be released from the hospital on Wednesday.
The NCP added, “After that (being released), he will take part in party camps that will be held in Shirdi on NovembTheer 4-5.”
Sharad Pawar was previously admitted to the hospital on April 11 of last year, the day before his gallbladder surgery.
As reported by a national daily, Pawar underwent an endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) treatment on March 30, 2021, to remove one of the gallstones that had gotten into his bile duct.
Apart from participating in his party’s camps in Shirdi, Sharad Pawar is expected to participate in the Congress ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’ campaign on November 8, a day after it enters Maharashtra through Nanded.
Earlier, Pawar said that Congress leaders Ashok Chavan and Balasaheb Thorat came to him and invited him to take part in the ongoing yatra undertaken by Rahul Gandhi.
According to the NCP leader, Congress’s goal is to eliminate hatred and bring society together. “NCP and other political parties will also join ranks with the Congress initiative in the state wherever possible,” he said on October 23.
