Nepal new President Ramchandra Paudel admitted to hospital after stomach pain

Kathmandu: Nepal's newly elected President Ramchandra Paudel's health suddenly deteriorated. According to information, the President has been admitted to the Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital in Maharajganj, Kathmandu after complaining of stomach pain.

Kathmandu: Nepal’s newly elected President Ramchandra Paudel health suddenly deteriorated. According to information, the President has been admitted to the Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital in Maharajganj, Kathmandu after complaining of stomach pain. According to an official statement issued by the hospital, Poudel complained of abdominal pain after which he was brought to the hospital.

“Ramchandra Paudel was admitted to the hospital late Saturday night and is being monitored,” hospital officials said. It is known that only two weeks ago, the senior leader of Nepali Congress, Ram Chandra Paudel, took oath as the President of Nepal.

According to the Election Commission of Nepal, Poudel secured 33,802 votes, while his opponent Subhash Chandra Nembawang got 15,518 votes.

Also, according to the Election Commission of Nepal, 313 members of the federal parliament participated in the voting, while 518 members of the provincial assemblies participated in the electoral process to elect the president.The voting took place at the Parliament House of Nepal in New Baneshwar, Kathmandu.

In Nepal, the Election Commission had set up two separate polling stations for federal parliamentarians and provincial assembly members in the hall. MLAs from all the provinces had reached Kathmandu for the election.
