Nepal President Election: The nation of Nepal has got its new President. In the results declared on Thursday evening, Nepal Congress Party’s candidate Ramchandra Paudel has won. He got 33,802 votes while his rival Subhash Chandra Nembwang got only 15,518 votes.

Ramchandra Paudel was supported by an eight-party coalition led by Prime Minister Prachanda. While Nembwang was associated with the CPN-UML. Please tell that CPN-UML is the second largest party in Nepal.

Prior to the election, the CPN-UML withdrew its support from the current government. The chief of this party is former PM KP Sharma. The controversy stemmed from the current government’s support of Paudel in the presidential election.

Deuba congratulated Paudel

Ramchandra Poudel got the votes of 214 MPs and 352 MLAs. Nepali Congress chief Sher Bahadur Deuba has congratulated Ramchandra Paudel for his victory. He tweeted and wrote that hearty congratulations to my friend Ram Chandra Poudelji on being elected President.

882 voters for presidential election

Explain that the total number of voters for the election of the President is 882, which includes 332 MPs and 550 members of provincial assemblies of seven provinces.

This is the third election after being a republic

Election Commission spokesperson Shaligram said 518 provincial assembly members and 313 MPs voted in the presidential election. This is the third presidential election in Nepal since it became a republic in 2008.
