New Zealand: A 7.3 magnitude earthquake has occurred in the Kermadec Islands, northeast of New Zealand. The American Geological Survey has given information about this. The epicenter of the earthquake was at a depth of 10 km under the ground. An audible warning has been issued after the earthquake.
The quake was at a depth of 10 kms (6.21 miles).
A tsunami threat is predicted by US Tsunami Warning System following the earthquake.
Last month, an earthquake measuring 7.1 on the Richter scale struck the Kermadec Islands.
