Raipur: Nine people, including a BJP leader, have been named in an FIR for allegedly misusing funds worth Rs 20 lakh from the National Horticulture Mission Scheme in the Korea district of Chhattisgarh.
Anchal Rajwada, the district president of the BJYM, is one of nine people who have been booked in a case that was reported to the Ajak police station in Baikunthpur, Chhattisgarh.
Anandi Singh, an 80-year-old farmer, received Rs 20 lakh for the construction of a community pond on his land. However, on November 23, 2022, he filed a complaint with the collector of the Korea district, alleging financial irregularities in the amount received by him.
As soon as the applicant’s written complaint was acknowledged, the Chief Executive Officer of the District Panchayat of Korea was immediately directed to conduct an inquiry, and a team was assembled.
Trilok Bansal (SP) Korea said a case had been lodged and the matter is taken into consideration. The investigation is progressing, and further action will be taken after the completion of the probe.
