New Delhi: The Nobel Prize has been announced among the most prestigious awards in the world. Svante Pabo has been awarded the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine 2022 (Nobel Prizes 2022). The decision was announced by the award-giving body on Monday at the Karolinska Institute in Stockholm, Sweden.

New Delhi: The Nobel Prize has been announced among the most prestigious awards in the world. Svante Pabo has been awarded the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine 2022 (Nobel Prizes 2022). The decision was announced by the award-giving body on Monday at the Karolinska Institute in Stockholm, Sweden.

Swedish geneticist Svante Pabo was awarded the 2022 Nobel Prize in Medicine or Physiology on Monday. The Nobel Prize committee said that Svante Pabo was awarded “for his discoveries relating to the genome of extinct hominins and human evolution”. is awarded and is worth 10 million Swedish crowns ($900,357).

The award has been given at a time when the COVID pandemic has put medical research at the center stage. The Nobel Prize in Physics will be announced on Tuesday. The Nobel Prize in Chemistry will be announced on Wednesday and in Literature on Thursday. The Nobel Peace Prize will be announced on Friday and the Economics Prize will be announced on October 10.The prizes carry a cash award of 10 million Swedish kronor (nearly $900,000) and will be handed out on 10 December. The money comes from a bequest left by the prize’s creator, Swedish inventor Alfred Nobel, who died in 1895.

It is the first of this year’s batch of prizes. Created in the will of Swedish dynamite inventor and wealthy businessman Alfred Nobel, the prizes for achievements in science, literature and peace have been awarded since 1901, though the economics prize is a later addition.

Still, it typically takes many years for any given research to be honoured, with the committees charged with picking the winners looking to determine its full value with some certainty amongst what is always a packed field of contenders.
