Foetus of a child was found while cleaning the drain. The foetus is about 5 to 6 months old. ADCP Ashutosh Dwivedi said that in the case the dead body of the foetus has been taken into custody and sent for postmortem. In this matter, action is being taken by registering a case under Section 315 in Police Station Phase-1.
Noida: In yet another shocking incident, an abandoned foetus of about 5 to 6 months old was found in a drain in Uttar Pradesh’s Noida on Tuesday, prompting the UP Police to register an FIR and launch a probe in the matter.
According to police, the five to sox months old foetus was found by sanitation workers in Harola village under Noida Phase 1 police station limits. They immediately informed the police which took the foetus into its custody.
While speaking to media, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (Noida) Ashutosh Dwivedi said, “The supervisor of the sanitation workers informed the local police station after which the foetus was taken into custody and sent for post mortem.”
The additional DCP said an FIR has been lodged under the Indian Penal Code section 315 (Act done with intent to prevent child being born alive or to cause it to die after birth) against unidentified accused. Further investigation and legal proceedings in the case are underway, the police added.
