Noida: A 25-year-old man died after he used the slide at a water park in Noida on Sunday. The reason behind the death is still unknown, according to the Noida police. The police have identified the deceased as Dhananjay Maheshwari.
Police said that he was a resident of Delhi’s Adarsh Nagar. According to police, Dhananjay Maheshwari had collapsed after he complained of having trouble breathing after he used the slide.
The mall authorities took Dhananjay to Kailash Hospital where doctors declared him dead. A senior official said that father of Dhananjay, Sanjay Maheshwari, who lives in Adarsh Nagar, Delhi, said that his son had left the house with his four friends.
Official added, “The deceased friends informed that his health deteriorated while enjoying rides in the water park following which he sat on the ground. Soon after this, he felt unconscious. His friends rushed him to the hospital where Dhananjay was declared brought dead. ”
Additional Commissioner of Noida Police Parveen Kumar said,“The investigation is going on in the incident. Dhananjay’s body was sent for an autopsy. Further details will be shared once the post mortem reports come in.” He added,”They have talked to the management of the water park and Dhananjay’s family. CCTV footage from the water park is also being studied and further action is underway.”
