Noida : In a significant operation led by DCP 3, the Noida Police, in collaboration with SWAT, Ecotech 1, and Dadri teams, seized more than 25 kilograms of methamphetamine and raw materials. The estimated value of the haul exceeds 100 crore rupees. Four individuals have been apprehended in connection with the operation.
The Election Commission (EC) reports a surge in enforcement actions, with assets worth Rs 4,658.16 crore confiscated since March 1. Narcotics constitute a significant portion of these seizures, totaling Rs 2,068.85 crore. The EC emphasizes a focus on drug seizures, accounting for 75% of total seizures in January and February, amounting to over Rs 7,502 crore.
Narcotics Dominate: Narcotics account for 45% of total seizures, amounting to Rs 2,068.85 crore, a substantial increase from 2019.

Rajasthan leads in seizures, followed by Gujarat, Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra, and Punjab. The EC is taking strict measures to ensure fair elections, including monitoring of government servants aiding politicians and non-scheduled aircraft and helicopters used during the election period. Various agencies, including the income-tax department, state police, Reserve Bank of India, and Enforcement Directorate, are collaborating with the EC to maintain the integrity of the electoral process.
