Jalpaiguri: Northeast India will soon get its first Vande Bharat Express train running from New Jalpaiguri to Guwahati. This train will run six days a week between New Jalpaiguri and Guwahati. This train will cover a distance of approx 410 kms in 6 hours. The train will leave from New Jalpaiguri in Siliguri and reach Guwahati in Assam.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday flagged off Odisha’s first Vande Bharat train from Puri to Howrah via video conferencing.
After the launch of Odisha’s first Vande Bharat train, Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav on Thursday said that PM Modi has set a target that Vande Bharat should reach almost all the states by June this year.
Speaking to sources in Howrah, Vaishnav said, “PM Modi has set a target that Vande Bharat should reach almost all states by June…Vande Metro will be built for a distance of less than 100 km and for daily travel of commuters.” being designed.”
In 2019, India got its semi-high-speed train, which was known as Train 18 earlier. It was later named as Vande Bharat Express.
