Lucknow: In Muzaffarnagar district of Uttar Pradesh, a woman was first raped by her brother-in-law and then along with her husband tried to kill her by strangulation. The video of the attempt to murder the woman also went viral on social media. It is clearly visible that the woman’s husband is trying to kill her by tying a dupatta around her neck. It is being told that the woman’s brother-in-law himself was making a video of the incident in his mobile.

After the video went viral, the woman appealed to the police to take action in this matter. The police is now trying to arrest the accused husband and brother-in-law by registering a case under serious sections.

The next day, the survivor’s husband and brother-in-law entered her room. Her husband attempted to strangle her with her dupatta while his brother recorded the incident on his mobile phone, she claimed.

Giving information about this case, City SP Satyanarayan Prajapat said that on the basis of the complaint filed by the applicant in relation to the said case, a case has been registered in Khatauli police station against her husband and brother-in-law under relevant sections regarding allegations of rape and intent to kill. Has been done. Raids are being conducted to arrest both the accused. Soon both the accused will be arrested and further action will be taken.

Police took cognizance of the incident after the woman shared the video and written complaint on social media. A case under sections 376 (rape), 307 (attempt to murder), and 328 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) have been filed against the accused husband and brother-in-law at Khatauli Kotwali police station.

Efforts are underway to arrest both the accused, and legal action will be taken against them soon, said Superintendent of Police Satyanarayan Prajapati.
