New Delhi: There is big news from Maharashtra politics. Maharashtra State President of Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) Jayant Patil has been called for questioning by sending a notice to the Enforcement Directorate (ED). Sharad Pawar’s close aide Jayant Patil has been asked by the ED to appear on Friday (May 12). Patil is to be questioned in the IL&FS case.

Earlier, in the money laundering investigation related to IL&FS, Raj Thackeray was also questioned by the ED in connection with the loan given to Kohinoor Construction.

What is the matter?

The Enforcement Directorate is conducting a probe into alleged irregularities related to Infrastructure Leasing and Financial Services (IL&FS). The probe pertains to IL&FS group’s equity investment in Kohinoor CTNL. Kohinoor CTNL is constructing Kohinoor Square Tower in Dadar.

In this case, ED has to interrogate Jayant Patil. Jayant Patil is close to Sharad Pawar. The investigating agency has called him at 10 am on Friday.
