Rashid Kalia’s criminal dossier is marked by involvement in numerous high-profile cases, notably the 2020 murder of Pintu Sengar, a notorious gangster turned politician. Known for his ability to maintain a low profile to evade law enforcement, the 45-year-old criminal faced charges in 11 serious crimes in Kanpur alone.
The STF successfully seized two factory-made pistols and the motorcycle that Kalia was riding at the time of the encounter, further dismantling the criminal’s arsenal and means of transport. The operation marks a significant breakthrough in the ongoing efforts to curb organized crime in the region.
