ODI World Cup 2023: BCCI announces team India 15-member squad, no place for Ashwin and Chahal

New Delhi: On Tuesday, The Indian team for the ODI World Cup 2023 has been announced. BCCI announced the 15-member squad after a meeting. In India's squad, except Prasidh Krishna and Tilak Verma, all those players who were selected for the Asia Cup have got a place in the ODI World Cup team.

New Delhi: On Tuesday, The Indian team for the ODI World Cup 2023 has been announced. BCCI announced the 15-member squad after a meeting. In India’s squad, except Prasidh Krishna and Tilak Verma, all those players who were selected for the Asia Cup have got a place in the ODI World Cup team.

Let us tell you that all the 10 teams had to announce their team for the ICC World Cup by September 5 and India announced it on the last day itself. The ODI World Cup 2023, hosted by India, is scheduled to start from October 5, the final match of which will be played on November 19.

Indian team for the World Cup: Shubman Gill, Rohit Sharma (captain), Virat Kohli, Shreyas Iyer, KL Rahul, Ishan Kishan, KL Rahul, Hardik Pandya (vice captain), Suryakumar Yadav, Ravindra Jadeja, Axar Patel, Shardul Thakur, Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Shami, Mohammed Siraj, Kuldeep Yadav.

Off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin and leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal have been not get place in the Indian team for the ODI World Cup. Both these players did not even get a place in the Asia Cup team. In such a situation, everyone is surprised after the decision to drop these two players from the ODI World Cup team.

-October 11, India vs Afghanistan – Delhi
