Odisha: 10 people killed and 8 injured after 2 bus collide in Ganjam district

Bhubaneswar: A horrific road accident has come to light in Odisha. 10 people were killed and 8 injured in a bus accident in Ganjam district last night. The injured have been admitted to MKCG Medical College, Berhampur.

Bhubaneswar: A horrific road accident has come to light in Odisha. 10 people were killed and 8 injured in a bus accident in Ganjam district last night. The injured have been admitted to MKCG Medical College, Berhampur.

Ganjam DM Dibya Jyoti Parida said that there was a collision between two buses. 10 people have died in the accident. The injured have been immediately admitted to the hospital for treatment. The matter is under investigation. We are trying to provide all possible help to the injured.

Berhampur SP Saravana Vivek told that the accident took place at around 1 am. Both the buses collided head-on. The occupants of the OSRTC bus received minor injuries. While most of the killed passengers belonged to private buses.

Officials said the OSRTC bus was going from Rayagada to Bhubaneswar, while the private bus was returning from Berhampur with a wedding party from Khandadeuli village in the district. Digpahandi police and fire service personnel rushed to the spot and rescued several passengers.
