Supporters greeted the CM of Odisha, Naveen Patnaik, outside the Airport, who had just received a lifetime achievement award in Delhi.
Cuttack: Biju Janata Dal supporters greeted the Chief Minister of Odisha, Naveen Patnaik; they were gathered outside the Biju Patnaik International Airport to welcome the BJD leader, who had just received a lifetime achievement award in Delhi. He got a magnificent welcome.
The gathering was so large that it caused the city to come to a standstill and the route of the traffic was diverted. The police commissionerate had earlier advised travellers to arrive at the airport at least three hours before their scheduled departure.
The state’s capital city was decorated with large cutouts and life-size posters of Naveen Patnaik and barricades were erected to control the flow of his supporters arriving at the airport from various parts of the state.
The entire area was decorated, and slogans were written praising Naveen Patnaik. Tribal women, who came in large numbers wearing traditional costumes, performed folk dances on the road and welcomed the CM.
Naveen Patnaik was brought near the Biju Patnaik statue on a special bus from the airport, where he waved at his supporters gathered outside the airport after garlanding the statue of his father, Biju Patnaik.
Addressing the huge gathering, he thanked the people of Odisha for giving him a grand welcome and honour.
Navel Patnaik has shown his strength as well. The general election and assembly polls in Odisha are set to take place in 2024. The ruling Biju Janata Dal (BJD) has sounded the election bugle, which is inching closer.
In fact, Navel Patnaik is loved by people of all walks of life.
