Odisha man, 35, kills wife in suspicion of affair, walks to police station in Nayagarh with severed head

Bhubaneswar: In a horrific turn of events, a 35-year-old man named Arjun Bagha was arrested in Nayagarh district, Odisha, for the gruesome murder of his wife, Dharitri. He walked into a police station with her severed head, and surrendered before the cops. Suspecting her fidelity, Bagha committed a harrowing act of violence, resorting to decapitation.

Bagha suspected his wife Dharitri, 30, of being involved in an extramarital affair. This suspicion led to frequent arguments between the couple, which eventually culminated in fatal outbursts of anger. In a gruesome act, Bagha used a sharp weapon to murder his wife, and later decapitated her.

Subsequently, Bagha walked into the Banigochha police station carrying his wife’s severed head, causing a wave of panic among the officers. The police immediately detained Bagha and recovered the headless torso of the victim from the crime scene. Inspector Laxman Dandasena, in-charge of Banigochha police station, has started investigation into this horrific incident.
