Odisha New CM: After victory in Odisha Assembly elections, BJP has not yet been able to take a decision regarding the CM. The party has made Union ministers Rajnath Singh and Bhupendra Yadav observers for the selection of the new CM. Meanwhile, a meeting of the BJP legislature party is going to be held today i.e. on Tuesday. The name of the CM is expected to be announced after this meeting.
In fact, BJP has won the assembly elections in Odisha, ending the 24-year long rule of CM Naveen Patnaik. Out of 147 seats in Odisha, BJP got 78 seats, while BJD could win only 51 and Congress 14 seats. If sources are to be believed, BJP leadership can surprise people in Odisha like Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh. BJP had made such faces as CMs in all three states, about whom there was no discussion.
The swearing-in ceremony of the new government is to be held in Odisha on June 12. The BJP has earlier proposed to organize a road show of Prime Minister Modi in the state capital Bhubaneswar. Let us tell you that Odisha has played an important role in NDA’s victory in the Lok Sabha elections, here BJP has won 20 out of 21 Lok Sabha seats. At the same time, one seat remained in the name of Congress.
