Hassan/Karnataka: In a shocking incident, 23-year-old school teacher Arpita was kidnapped in broad daylight in Hassan, Karnataka. The incident, which unfolded with heart-wrenching precision, was captured on CCTV. According to reports, the kidnapping victim Arpita was allegedly abducted by a relative and she and her family members rejected his marriage proposal. The footage was later circulated on social media platforms, sparking widespread condemnation and concern.
The CCTV footage presents a clear story of the incident. It shows one person loitering on the street while Arpita was walking. An SUV was seen slowly approaching the woman, after which a second man ran down the street and grabbed the woman with the help of the first man. A third man came from the vehicle and further helped the two in forcing Arpita into the car.
The audacity of the culprits, who executed the kidnapping in broad daylight, has left the local residents in a state of shock and fear.
Arpita, a school teacher, was abducted while she was on her way to school at around 8 am today, when the three kidnappers forced her into a Toyota Innova. The teacher’s family members alleged that their relative Ramu was responsible for the kidnapping.

As the police moved forward with the investigation, Arpita’s family pointed the finger at Ramu, who was allegedly involved in a four-year-long relationship with her. The family alleges that Ramu, who was rejected by Arpita, may be behind this horrific act. This aspect of a rejected lover resorting to such an extreme act is being thoroughly investigated by the authorities.
The police have swung into action and formed three separate teams to investigate the kidnapping. Apart from tracing the kidnappers, they are also investigating why Arpita was out on a day when schools were closed across Karnataka. After examining the CCTV footage, Superintendent of Police Mohammed Sujeetha visited the spot and the suspects were arrested by tracing their location through mobile phone network.
The incident has once again highlighted the urgent need for better safety measures in public places, especially for women. As the city awaits resolution of this case, it is hoped that justice will be served swiftly and Arpita will be returned to her family without any harm.
