On PM Modi request, SRK, Akshay Kumar provide voice-overs for new Parliament building video

New Delhi: Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan shared a video of the upcoming inauguration of the new Parliament House today in a grand ceremony with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. In the tweeted video, Shah Rukh Khan provides a voice-over while the song from his film 'Swades' Theme music plays in the background.

New Delhi: Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan shared a video of the upcoming inauguration of the new Parliament House today in a grand ceremony with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. In the tweeted video, Shah Rukh Khan provides a voice-over while the song from his film ‘Swades’ Theme music plays in the background.

Shah Rukh Khan said, “What a wonderful new home for the people who uphold our Constitution, represent every citizen of this great nation and protect the diversity of its one individual.”

“A new Parliament House for a new India but with the age-old dream of India’s pride. Jai Hind!” Pathan Star added. Prime Minister Modi was quick to react to the video tweeted by Shah Rukh. PM Modi tweeted Shah Rukh Khan’s video, writing, “Beautifully expressed! The new Parliament House is a symbol of democratic strength and progress. It blends tradition with modernity.”

The new Parliament building has caught the attention of various Union ministers, including Home Minister Amit Shah and Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, with BJP leaders taking to Twitter to share videos. Additionally, actor Akshay Kumar also joined in and tweeted the video with his voice-over.

Today, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the Parliament House in a formal event starting around 7 am with a havan. The occasion will witness the presence of several dignitaries, politicians and religious leaders. During the event, ‘Sengol’, a ceremonial object presented by saints from Tamil Nadu to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, will be placed in the Lok Sabha chamber.
