The Prime Minister will participate in the famous Dussehra celebrations of Kullu, after inaugurating the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Bilaspur, Himachal Pradesh on the occasion of Dussehra.
Bilaspur: On the occasion of Dussehra, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Bilaspur, Himachal Pradesh. Soon after inaugurating the state-of-the-art hospital, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inspected AIIMS Bilaspur. The AIIMS inaugurated by the Prime Minister has been built at a cost of over Rs 1,470 crore. During this, CM Jai Ram Thakur, Union Minister Anurag Thakur and BJP President JP Nadda were also present.
The foundation stone of this AIIMS was laid by Prime Minister Modi in 2017. After this, he will also address a public meeting after inaugurating and laying the foundation stone of several schemes at the local Luhnu Maidan. The Bilaspur AIIMS has been constructed at a cost of Rs 1470 crore. It will have 18 specialty and 17 super specialty departments, 18 state-of-the-art surgery rooms, 750 beds with 64 ICU beds. This hospital is spread over 247 acres and will have round the clock treatment facility.
Inauguration and foundation stone laying of projects worth Rs 3,650 crore

During this, Modi will inaugurate and lay foundation stones of different projects worth Rs 3,650 crore and will also address a public meeting.
This hospital has also established Digital Health Center to provide health services in tribal and inaccessible tribal areas of Himachal Pradesh. Also, health services will be provided by the hospital through health camps in the inaccessible tribal and high altitude Himalayan regions like Kaza, Saluni and Keylong. The PMO said that 100 students will be admitted to this hospital every year for MBBS course and 60 students for nursing course.
National Highway’s foundation stone will be laid
Among the projects for which the Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone, the 31 km long National Highway between Pinjore and Nalagarh will also be made four-laning. This road project is a major connectivity link for traffic going from Ambala, Chandigarh, Panchkula and Solan and Shimla to Bilaspur, Mandi and Manali. About 18 km of this four-lane national highway comes under Himachal Pradesh and the rest falls in Haryana.
The PMO said that this highway will ensure better transport facility in Nalagarh-Baddi, the industrial hub of Himachal Pradesh and will also accelerate industrial development in the region. This will also boost tourism in the state. The Prime Minister will also lay the foundation stone of a medical park in Nalagarh. It will be constructed at a cost of Rs 350 crore. The PMO said that these schemes will create huge employment opportunities in the area.
