A shocking case has come to light in Britain. The car crashed into the front gate of 10 Downing Street in London. It is to be known that 10 Downing Street is the official residence and office of British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak.

London: The car crashed into the front gate of 10 Downing Street in London on Thursday. 10 Downing Street is the office and official residence of British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak. It is not known whether Sunak was at 10 Downing Street at the time of the incident.

The news agency Reuters, citing London police, said that the driver has been arrested in this case due to dangerous driving. However, the name of the accused has not been disclosed.

The car crashed into the gate of 10 Downing Street near Whitehall at 4:20 p.m. local time, news agency AFP quoted police as saying. Armed officers have arrested a man from the scene on suspicion of criminal damage and dangerous driving. However, there is no report of anyone getting injured in the accident. The police further said that the matter is being probed.

Police said that there was no report of any injury during this period. The inquiry is on. Downing Street officials have been told to stay indoors.

It is known that a huge gate was installed at the entrance of Downing Street in the year 1989 after the bomb attacks by the Irish Republic Army in London. The IRA group fired three homemade mortar shells at the Prime Minister’s residence in 1991.
