New Delhi: A float plane carrying several people crashed at Mutiny Bay, about 30 miles north of Seattle, Washington, on Sunday. In this crash, one person was killed as reported, while eight passengers and a child went missing, as per the officials from the US Coast Guard.
One body has been recovered so far from the crash site. A search operation is in progress on a war footing. The Island County Sheriff, Snohomish County Sheriff, and other enforcement agencies have been called to Mutiny Bay to help in the search for the missing persons.
According to Flightradar24, the float plane was a 55-year-old de Havilland Canada DHC-3 Otter.
As per the US Coast Guard the plane was flying from Friday Harbour to Seattle Tacoma International Airport when it crashed after 19 minutes in the air.
