New Delhi: Fire incidents have been taking place in Delhi at regular intervals. A massive fire tragedy occurred last week in the Mundka area of Delhi in which several people died. A fire tragedy once again took place in northeast Delhi’s Mustafabad vicinity on Thursday.
As per the initial report, the fire broke out in an inverter and stabiliser factory in Mustafabad. At least one person was killed and six others received burn injuries in the incident. All the injured were rushed to GTB hospital for treatment. One person is stated to be critical. Fire brigades were pressed into service to douse the inferno.
Officials said a call about the fire was received at 12:17 pm, following which seven fire tenders were rushed to the spot.
The fire was brought under control at 1 pm, as per Delhi fire department officials.
Fire Department Director Atul Garg said, “The fire broke out on the first floor of a factory manufacturing electric items injuring seven persons who were rushed to the GTB Hospital. Of them, one person was declared dead and another person is in serious condition. The building is spread over an area of about 200 square yards.”
