One soldier dead, 8 severely injured as bus full of passengers falls off expressway near Delhi

The news of a collision between a truck and a double-decker bus is coming to the fore on the Yamuna Expressway in Greater Noida. Due to the collision of the truck, the double-decker bus hanged near the railing. At present, 1 person is reported to have died in this incident.

New Delhi: A double-decker bus full of passengers rammed into a truck on the Yamuna Expressway in Greater Noida on Tuesday morning. With a strong impact, the bus dangled near the railing. In this incident, an army jawan died in the hospital during treatment, while 9 people were seriously injured. The incident is from the Rabupura police station area of ​​Greater Noida.

According to the police, the double-decker bus was going from Gorakhpur to Ludhiana carrying passengers. Seventy passengers were on the bus at the time of the incident. A speeding double-decker bus rammed into a moving truck near Kheda Mohammadabad village of Rabupura police station area. The truck was full of stones. After hitting the collision, the bus got out of control and fell down breaking the crash beam barrier on the banks of Yamuna Expressway. There was an outcry among the passengers on the bus.

The patrolling personnel and police, who were on duty on the expressway, reached the spot. Passengers were pulled out by breaking the glass of the bus. Nine seriously injured passengers were immediately taken to Kailash Hospital and Government Institute of Medical Sciences, Greater Noida for treatment. Where one of the injured died during treatment.

The deceased has been identified as Lavi Kumar, a resident of Deobari village, district Kangra in Himachal Pradesh. He was a soldier in the Army and was posted in the Dogra Regiment. Several passengers suffered minor injuries. He was discharged after first aid.
