New Delhi: OnePlus has confirmed the launch of a new smartphone in India. No, it is not the OnePlus 10 Pro which was launched in China earlier this year. The OnePlus flagship is expected to launch in March or April in India and other markets. Prior to that, the company will announce the OnePlus Nord CE 2 5G in India.
The company has confirmed that the Nord CE 2 will launch in India on February 17. A teaser video uploaded by OnePlus outlines some of the key design elements and confirms some of the previous leaks. OnePlus Nord CE 2 5G will launch in India on February 17. The teaser post confirms that the phone has a triple-camera setup. It also reveals that the phone has a hole-punch cutout at the top left corner of the screen.

OnePlus did not reveal the official specifications of the Nord CE 2. However, the rumour mill has leaked most of the key details of the upcoming smartphone. Tipster Abhishek Yadav claims that the device will launch in two storage options. He has also leaked the pricing details of the two configurations. The base model will have 6GB of RAM with 128GB of internal storage. It will be priced at Rs 23,999. The other RAM option will have 8GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage and will be available for Rs 24,999. It will come with a dedicated microSD card slot for expanding the storage. This would be the first time that a OnePlus phone in India will feature a microSD card slot.
The phone will draw power from a MediaTek Dimensity 900 SoC. It will also feature a 64MP main camera sensor. The triple-camera setup will be completed by an 8MP ultrawide camera and a 2MP sensor. As per previous reports, the phone will have a 6.4-inch AMOLED display with a Full HD+ resolution. It will come with 90Hz refresh rate support. There will be a 16MP front camera inside the hole-punch cutout for selfies and video calls.
The phone will pack a 4500 mAh battery under the hood. It will come with 65W fast charging support. With the specs on offer, it is expected that the company will launch the Nord CE 2 in India at around Rs 25,000. The higher storage option is likely to be priced under Rs 30,000. The official pricing details will be announced at the event on February 17.
