Oscars 2023: SSS Rajamouli’s superhit film RRR has created a new history in the Indian film industry. The film’s popular song ‘Naatu Naatu’ on Monday won the Oscar for Best Original Song. RRR created history by becoming the first Indian film to win an Oscar for any song. RRR is the first Indian film to be nominated for the Academy Awards in the last two decades. While ‘Naatu Naatu’ was the first Indian song to be nominated at the Oscars.

The 95th Academy Awards i.e. Oscars 2023 has dominated TV and social media after a grand opening. The song ‘Naatu Naatu’ from SSS Rajamouli’s film ‘RRR’ has created history at Oscars 2023. The song was shortlisted for the Oscar Award 2023 in the Best Song category. ‘Naatu-Naatu’ has beaten the 15 songs included in this list. In this category, RRR’s Natu Natu was competing between Applause, Hold My Hand, Lift Me Up, and This is a Life. MM Keeravani and Chandrabose have received the Oscar Award for Best Original Song for RRR’s Naatu Naatu. On this special occasion, SS Rajamouli, Ramcharan, Jr. NTR and Keeravani reached the stage to receive the award. The veteran composer broke into a song as he accepted the award.

The song’s lyrics were, “There was only one wish on my mind. So was Rajamouli and my family. Pride of every Indian and must put me on top of the world.”He said, “Thank you Academy. I grew up listening to carpenters and now here I am with the Oscars.” He ended his speech with, “Thank you Kartikeya for making this possible.”Bollywood actor Deepika Padukone introduced the team of Naatu Naatu and RRR on stage.
