Amitabh praises Chhello’s show

The Chhello Show teaser received a lot of positive feedback from fans and celebrities within 24 hours of its release. Amitabh Bachchan is the one who has jumped on the bandwagon. The celebrity stepped forward to applaud the movie’s selection as well as its trailer. Big B tweeted, “T 4429 – Chello Show tells the story of our vanishing film heritage. So proud of @FHF_Official’s association with India’s official entry to the Oscars. In cinemas on Oct 14 by @roykapurfilms (sic).”

The Chhello Show is based on the story of a Gujarati boy of 9, whose passion was cinema.  He is completely enthralled by the light, its ability to narrate stories, and the heroes it creates. He wants to spend the entire day watching movies. He runs into problems with his father and even the local police. Like the trailer depicts, he and several of his friends are branded thieves. Pan Nalin, the director of the film, is known for movies like Angry Indian Goddesses, Samsara, and Valley of Flowers.

Chhello Show had its world premiere as the opening film at Robert DeNiro’s Tribeca Film Festival and has bagged numerous awards across many international film festivals, including the Golden Spike at the 66th Valladolid Film Festival in Spain, where it received a mammoth success during its theatrical run. The Chhello Show is set to hit theatres on October 14 in India.
