There has been an explosion in a mosque in the Police Lines area of Peshawar, Pakistan. There are reports of injuries to many people in this blast. Till now no terrorist organization has taken the responsibility of this blast.
Peshawar: An explosion took place at a mosque in the northwestern city of Peshawar in Pakistan on Monday, and at least 28 killed and more than 120 people were wounded, a local police official told sources. Till now no terrorist organization has taken the responsibility of this blast. Police told that when the blast took place, many people were present in the mosque for prayer. It is being told that a part of the mosque has collapsed due to the explosion, under which many people are feared to be buried.

Police officer Sikandar Khan said, “The explosion was so strong that many people were injured due to its grip. A portion of the building of the mosque also collapsed due to the explosion. Many people may be buried in this part.”
Mohammad Asim, a spokesman for the Lady Reading Hospital in Peshawar, said that 90 injured have been brought here so far, some of whom are in critical condition.
A photo published in local media showed people gathering near the collapsed wall of the mosque. It is being told that the blast took place around 1.40 am.
