Pakistan Suicide Blast: A policeman was killed, while several others were injured in a suicide blast in Pakistan's Islamabad on Friday. Blast occurred near the university and government office area. After the information about the blast, a special anti-terrorist force has been sent to the spot.
Islamabad/Pakistan: Pakistan’s capital Islamabad was rocked by a blast this morning when a suicide bomber blew himself up along with a car. According to local newspapers, A policeman was killed and at least six people, including four police officers and two civilians, were injured in a suicide blast in Islamabad’s 1-10/4 sector on Friday. Pictures going viral on social media showed the burning wreckage of a vehicle with a large number of police personnel at the scene.

Police issue traffic advisory for commuters
In another tweet, the Islamabad police issued an advisory, asking the commuters that the diversions had been placed for both sides of traffic at Service Road East of Sector I-10/4. Moreover, they have been directed to use Service Road West of Sector I-10/4 as an alternate.

According to media reports, the police noticed a vehicle near I-10/4 at 10:15 am in which a man and a woman were sitting. When officers found the vehicle suspicious, they searched it. The couple came out of the car. After this both were searched. After the checking done by the officials, the male occupant of the car again went inside the vehicle on some pretext and blew himself up.
Deputy Inspector General of Police Sohail Zafar Chatha said that during the checking, one police officer of Eagle Squad was killed and four others were injured. At present, security officials have cordoned off the area and investigation is on, he added.
