Patna’s Durga Puja Pandal Mirrors G20 Summit Spectacle, Captivating Massive Audience

The Durga Puja pandal in Patna has transformed into a captivating spectacle, drawing immense crowds, with its theme centered around the recent G20 Summit held in the national capital. The pandal, designed after Delhi’s cutting-edge Bharat Mandapam in Pragati Maidan, where the summit took place, is now a hub of attention. It features intricate models representing world leaders and prominent international delegates who graced the two-day event.

The lifelike figures of these global leaders and delegates stand alongside a representation of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Particularly striking is the installation of a model portraying US President Joe Biden, positioned to the right of PM Modi. This attention to detail has made the pandal an instant hit among visitors.

Furthermore, the pandal also pays homage to Delhi’s iconic Red Fort, adding to its allure and historical significance. The G20 Leaders Summit, hosted on September 9 and 10, marked a historic occasion, witnessing the largest gathering of world leaders and dignitaries in the event’s history. Notable attendees included US President Joe Biden and UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak.

During the summit, held under India’s G20 presidency, a momentous event occurred with the formal induction of the African Union (AU) into the grouping. Additionally, the world leaders present at the event reached a consensus, leading to the adoption of a significant declaration.

This elaborate presentation coincides with the ongoing festival of Shardiya Navratri, a nine-day celebration dedicated to worshipping Maa Durga and her nine avatars, known as Navdurga. Hindus, observing this auspicious period, participate in various rituals and festivities, making this pandal’s theme both culturally resonant and globally relevant. Visit the pandal to experience the fusion of tradition and international diplomacy, making it a must-see attraction for all.
