The search operation, led by the Mumbai Police’s crime branch, yielded two pistols, three magazines, and 13 bullets. A team, including senior police inspector Daya Nayak, continues to scour the area with the assistance of scuba divers.

The incident, which occurred on April 14, involved two bike-borne assailants firing shots outside Khan’s house in Mumbai’s Bandra area before fleeing the scene. The accused, Vicky Gupta and Sagar Pal, were arrested on April 16 from a temple premises near Bhuj town in Gujarat.

During interrogation, Gupta and Pal confessed to discarding the weapon into the Tapi river from a railway bridge while fleeing to Bhuj. They allegedly received instructions from jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi and his brother Anmol Bishnoi.

While Lawrence Bishnoi is currently imprisoned in Gujarat, his brother is believed to be residing abroad. The Mumbai Police have declared both brothers as “wanted accused” in connection with the incident.

The recovery of pistols and bullets from the river marks a crucial step forward in the investigation into the firing outside Salman Khan’s residence, shedding light on the intricate network behind the attack.
