Punjab Kings captain KL Rahul was diagnosed with acute appendicitis and has been transferred to a hospital, the franchise said in a statement on Sunday.KL Rahul complained of severe abdomen pain on Saturday and after not responding to medications he was taken to the emergency room.The Punjab Kings skipper has been ruled out from the upcoming clash between PBKS and Delhi Capitals on matchday 29 of the IPL 2021.
Taking to Twitter on Sunday, the official handle of PBKS confirmed that skipper Rahul complained about abdomen pain last night and the Indian batsman was taken to the emergency room for further treatment. Later, it was revealed that Rahul has been diagnosed with acute appendicitis.
“KL Rahul complained of severe abdomen pain last night and after not responding to medication, he was taken to emergency room for further tests which revealed that he was diagnosed with acute appendicitis,” Punjab Kings said in a statement.”It will be resolved surgically and for safety measures, he has been transferred to the hospital for the same,” it added.
