PM Modi make public that the place where Chandrayaan-3 landed will be named 'Shiv Shakti', where Chandrayaan-2's impression will be known as Tiranga Point. Third announced that August 23 will now be celebrated as National Space Day every year. Modi's announcement came as he was addressing the Indian Space Research Organisation scientists at the ISRO command centre in Bengaluru.
Bengaluru: On Saturday, August 23, PM Modi declares that nation will celebrate as National Space Day every year. Further Modi added that India hoisted the tricolor on the moon on this day, so this day will now be celebrated as National Space Day. PM Modi also did two more naming during this period. He said that the place where Vikram, the lander of Chandrayaan-3, has set his feet like Angad, will be named Shiv Shakti Point.
PM Modi reached Bengaluru directly from his two-nation tour this morning where he addressed ISRO scientists and became emotional. Here the PM also did a road show along with addressing party workers and others. People gathered in huge crowd to see PM Modi in the roadshow. After the roadshow, PM reached ISRO head office and congratulated all the scientists of ISRO for the success of Chandrayaan-3. He lauded the ISRO scientists and saluted them for their success.
PM Modi further added, “You have expanded ‘Make in India’ to Moon. I want to tell the countrymen about your labour. The path from southern India to the southern pole of Moon was not easy. Artificial moon was created and Vikram lander was made to land from various ways. It was sure to be a success. You have left a huge impact on the youth of India with your success which will become the foundation of a developed India. On 23rd August, India hoisted the flag on the Moon. From now onwards, that day will be known as National Space Day in India.”
