PM Modi, Amit Shah, minister pay tributes to Savarkar on his 140th birth anniversary

New Delhi: Today is the 140th birth anniversary of Vinayak Damodar Savarkar, the great leader of the Indian freedom struggle. He was born on 28 May 1883 in Bhagur village of Nashik district of Maharashtra. On his birth anniversary, big leaders of BJP including PM Modi have paid tribute by tweeting. Home Minister Amit Shah, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, BJP National President JP Nadda and other leaders have paid tribute to Veer Savarkar.

New Delhi: Today is the 140th birth anniversary of Vinayak Damodar Savarkar, the great leader of the Indian freedom struggle. He was born on 28 May 1883 in Bhagur village of Nashik district of Maharashtra. On his birth anniversary, big leaders of BJP including PM Modi have paid tribute by tweeting.

Home Minister Amit Shah, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, BJP National President JP Nadda and other leaders have paid tribute to Veer Savarkar.They offered floral tributes to VD Savarkar’s portrait. Later, Prime Minister Modi inaugurated the new Parliament building and also paid his respects to Savarkar’s portrait in the Central Hall.

Home Minister Amit Shah has written in his tweet, “I bow down at the feet of Veer Savarkar, the outstanding patriot who ignited the lamp of patriotism in the hearts of innumerable Indians with his thoughts, on his birth anniversary.” The patriotism, sacrifice and dedication of Veer Savarkar ji is praiseworthy and will continue to inspire the countrymen for ages.

The country’s Defense Minister Rajnath Singh wrote in a tweet, “I remember and bow down to Veer Savarkar on his birth anniversary. He was an intense nationalist and a symbol of courage. It is difficult to even imagine the hardships he endured for India’s independence. His struggle and contribution to the country’s independence will always inspire Indians.

BJP National President JP Nadda wrote, “I bow down to the great freedom fighter, the ideological founder of independent India and the immortal hero of nationalism ‘Swatantryaveer’ Vinayak Damodar Savarkar on his birth anniversary. The sacrifice and sacrifice of ‘Veer Savarkar’ ji will remain an inspiration for every countryman to sacrifice everything for the nation for ages.

UP CM Yogi Adityanath wrote in his tweet, “Savarkar means fast, Savarkar means sacrifice, Savarkar means tenacity, Savarkar means element, Savarkar means logic, Savarkar means youth. Immortal son of Mother India, on the birth anniversary of ‘Swatantryaveer’ Vinayak Damodar Savarkar.” Humble tribute to him! His sacrifice and struggle in the service of the motherland is unforgettable and exemplary.
